Huntley, IL, MARCH 1, 2022 – Landscapes Golf Management (LGM), part of the Landscapes Unlimited Family of Companies and management team hired by the Huntley Park District, wrapped up their 22nd annual general manager conference in February where the team at Pinecrest Golf Club was recognized for outstanding performance. The annual conference is an opportunity for Landscapes’ general managers, emerging leaders, and home-office support team to come together for four days of comradery, learning and development.
In addition to opportunities to learn and build relationships, LGM managers and staffers participated in the annual awards ceremony where distinguished staff members and facilities were recognized for exemplary performance in 2021.
Pinecrest earned the FISH! Facility of the Year award for public facilities. This award is given annually to the property that earns the highest cumulative rating from customer surveys. This is Pinecrest's 2nd FISH! Facility of the Year award in the last 3 years.
The Golf Club was then honored with the distinguished LGM Facility of the Year award for 2021. The facility which earns this award is recognized for the outstanding performance of the leadership team. The FOY is recognized for creating market-leading operations for their property, demonstrates innovation and creativity, manages within the budget and achieves outstanding financial performance. The facility receiving this award has a high level of engagement among the team resulting in a positive culture at the property.
When asked what winning these awards means to Pinecrest Golf Club, General Manager Rick Walrath answered, "During another challenging year with various headwinds, Pinecrest turned in a stellar season from a financial, customer satisfaction and employee feedback standpoint. Pinecrest also executed an off-season focus change by creating a new golf offering with simulators and food and beverage service while still hosting private events in The Grille. Pinecrest Golf Club is located in Huntley, Illinois is located on 130 acres and features 18 holes of championship golf open to the public. Since opening in 1972 Pinecrest has undergone several revisions. There are now five lakes, 63 bunkers, and many maturing trees to challenge all levels of player ability. Landscapes Golf Management is hired by the Huntley Park District to manage day-to-day operations of Pinecrest Golf Club.
