SUMMER DAY CAMP

Camp begins Monday, June 7, 2021.

The Huntley Park District offers endless opportunities for your child to have a fun and memorable camp experience. Our full-day camp program focuses on adventure, friendship, fun, exploration, discovery, safety and team building. Huntley Park District strives to provide a quality, exciting and unforgettable experience to all campers each session all summer long! Camps spend the majority of their camp day outdoors when weather permits. No matter what camp you choose for your child, they will have a great summer! This program is not licensed or regulated by DCFS, and is a qualified license-exempt program.

For summer 2021, each camp session will be two weeks long (you'll notice fees higher because of this, two weeks of fees vs. one week previously).  At the present time we anticipate offering field trips and details are still being made.  Due to current capacity restrictions on buses, field trips will be offered the second week of each two-week session only.  Families will be allowed to request ONE week (5 consecutive days of the same week) "off" for vacation or other plans and receive a prorated fee.  To request this of our staff, once registered, please email the receipt of your registration to camp@huntleyparks.org with your request including specific dates of absence.  All requests are due two weeks prior to that session begin date.

A camp swim program will be offered at 8:15a to coincide with camp.  This will be the only swim program we take campers to and from as others may conflict with other camp activities.  You may drop off your child before swim lessons to the camp site and our staff will bring them to their lesson and back to camp.  Or you can drop off right at swim lesson time to the camp staff at the pool and they will take them to camp afterwards.  Camp Swim Lessons will be offered in the upcoming Summer Brochure.

Health and Safety Rules Guidelines

Our top priority is the safety of our campers and our staff and this summer the Huntley Park District will be making some changes to our camp program to address the current pandemic and deliver a safe camp program.  With the release of the Phase 4 guidelines we have updated the items below to be compliant with these requirements.  As a reminder, guidance can change at any time in Phase 4 based on medical data that is being observed by the State of Illinois on an ongoing basis:

Day camp guidelines were updated on 3/18/21 which increased group sizes to 30 and now allows for fields trips with some busing restrictions.  Two-week sessions are being offered because due to some of the trip/busing restrictions we will only be able to offer one field trip every other week.  The second week of camp will be the field trip weeks for each camp.  Field trip destinations are still being determined and a focus on outdoor field trip opportunities will be made as much as possible.

Please see our Health and Safety Page for full details on safety procedures and rules.
