The Huntley Park District offers endless opportunities for your child to have a fun and memorable camp experience. Our full-day camp program focuses on adventure, friendship, fun, exploration, discovery, safety and team building. The Huntley Park District strives to provide a quality, exciting and unforgettable experience to all campers each session all summer long! Camps spend the majority of their camp day outdoors when weather permits. No matter what camp you choose for your child, they will have a great summer!

Each camp session is one week long.

Registration Information

  • Registration begins on March 18 and closes on May 22. Registration can be done in-person or online. Registration will re-open on June 3 for any remaining space available for weeks 3-10.
     
  • Children will be registered according to the grade they will enter in the fall of 2019.
     
  • Children must be toilet-trained.
     
  • There is a $25.00 non-refundable deposit per week due at time of registration (The $25.00 will be used towards the balance due on each session.)
     
  • This year payment will only be accepted via credit/debit card or ACH.  Installment billing is no longer an option.  To more effectively collect fees on time and avoid last minute payments inconveniencing customers and staff this decision was made.  The date in which their payment was previously due, has not changed with the new payment options.

  • Registrations must have one payment method.  We are unable to take multiple payment methods for each registration.  

  • Remaining camp fees for each additional week are due on the Friday before each sessions start date by 12:00 pm. You may sign-up online or in person with cash, check or credit/debit.

  • All cancellations must be made in writing. No verbal cancellations will be accepted. Refunds will only be given to those cancellations made at least 2 weeks prior to session start date.(Camp fee minus $25 deposit=refund)
     
  • Campers will NOT be allowed to attend Monday if camp payments are not current.
     
  • No refunds will be issued after the start of each camp session unless accompanied by a medical note.
     
  • No refunds or credits will be given for days your child does not attend camp.
     
  • We are unable to prorate fees for days missed due to illness, vacation,holidays or behavior suspensions.
     
  • No rates are provided for less than 5 days.
     
  • Registrants will be contacted with more information in May on how to submit camper information electronically through ePact system.

Camp Seedlings

Camp Seedlings is Huntley Park District’s day camp for preschoolers. Children entering Kindergarten may also attend. Campers must be toilet trained and wear underwear, not pull-ups. Please send your child to camp with a backpack, water bottle and with sunscreen and bug spray already applied. A daily snack will be provided. This is an indoor/outdoor camp,please dress accordingly. Camp activities include arts-n-crafts, stories, sing-a-longs, group games and fun on the playground. Each week is theme based.

Kindergarten & 1st Grade

Our full-day camp program for Kindergarten and 1st grade focuses on adventure, friendship, fun, exploration, discovery, creativity and safety. Campers spend the majority of their camp day outdoors when weather permits. Program Highlights Include: Swimming at Stingray Bay twice, weekly special events, weekly on-site/off-site field trips, cooperative sports & games and arts & crafts.

Campers spend the majority of their camp day outdoors when weather permits. Register for 4th & 5th Grade Camp

Backyard Buddies

This outdoor camp will expose children to a variety of camp activities, cooperative games, arts and crafts, science, nature, sports, water fun and is a fantastic option for those enrolled in the D158 summer program. Camp will be held inside the REC Center in the event of inclement weather. Camp will swim every Friday at Stingray Bay. Each participant will receive one camp T-shirt the first day of camp. All campers need to bring a water bottle, sack lunch, sunscreen and insect repellent each day.

Teen

Our full-day camp program for 6th-8th grade focuses on adventure, friendship, fun, exploration, discovery, creativity, team building and safety. Register for Teen Camp

Counselor-in-Training (CIT)

The Counselor in Training (CIT) program is for teens 13-15 who truly enjoy working with young children, are good role models, have positive attitudes and want to learn.  The CIT program teaches young teens to be responsible, caring and creative camp leaders while gaining valuable leadership skills and hands-on day camp experience.  Under the supervision of experienced camp staff.  CIT;s role will be to work directly with the campers and assist Camp Counselors and Group Leaders with creating and implementing camp activities, games, crafts, sports, events, etc.  CIT's will have their own time as a group each day for activities, events, field trips and swimming.
