Information on Follow Up Actions Regarding Positive COVID-19 Test Reported within Park District Programs
After receiving a report of a positive case of COVID-19 among our staff or participants, relevant information is promptly shared with the McHenry County Department of Health for expert guidance. In collaboration with MCDH, the following steps are also being taken:
- Conducting additional cleaning and sanitization as is needed.
- Conducting contact tracing as is recommended.
- Sharing specific information with select staff members about the situation as needed to ensure health and safety.
- Working to ensure a safe environment for all within our building.
Please note that all personal information about the health of individuals is confidential, including the identity of the individual who tested positive and details that would make them identifiable.
Only specific information that is necessary to protect the health of others can be shared. We are sharing with you only the fact that an individual from our program has tested positive. This information alone does not necessarily indicate a cause for heightened concern for you as a member of this program. Those who have had potential exposure as determined by the contact tracing process will be contacted individually.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we continue to face this challenge together. If you have questions regarding this matter, please contact the supervisor of the program. If you have health-related concerns, please contact your respective medical provider.
The Park District will continue to update our Health and Safety page on our website with the most up to date program procedures. You are also encouraged to continue to follow CDC Guidelines to protect yourself and family members from the spread of COVID-19. You can view these recommendations on the CDC Website.
