On Sunday, July 30, 2006 Clark Borhart, Len Borhart and Barry Borchart cut the ribbon to officially open the Borhart Family Park in the Covington Lakes Subdivision in Huntley. All three men served as Huntley Park District Commissioners in the past and they and their family members have been actively involved in the Huntley area for generations. During the ceremony, Park Board President, Dr. Bill Awe, commented on what an honor it was to dedicate this park to the Borhart family.
In April 2005 our new Rec Center opened. The new center is home to the registration office, Seedlings preschool, fitness Center, gym, arts & crafts programs, dance studio, and Cosman Cultural Center. The Cosman Cultural Center has a 286 seat theater and dance studio.

The Huntley Park District dedicated Frank and Boots Parisek Park located in the Georgian Place subdivision on Sunday June 13, 2004. Commissioners, staff and the parks namesakes, Frank and Boots Parisek and Family where on hand for the dedication ceremony. Frank served on the Huntley Park District Board of Commissioners in the past and Boots served as the secretary and treasurer to the Board of Commissioners. The Huntley Park District dedicated Jack & Bob Tures Park located in the Heritage of Huntley subdivision on Sunday September 28, 2003. Commissioners, staff the parks namesakes Jack Tures and Bob Tures and Family where on hand for the dedication ceremony. Jack and Bob are father and son and both have served on the Huntley Park District Board of Commissioners in the past. The Park is also located on the former Tures Nursery that has been in the Tures family for four generations. The 4.6 acre park was developed under the direction of Paul Ostrander, Park Maintenance Director.
The Huntley Park District purchased the Pinecrest Golf course on June 12, 2003 after a successful referendum. Jeff Huseman, former owner, seals the deal with Park District Executive Director, Thom Palmer. The course will provide green space for the community and a revenue producing facility for the Park District.
The Huntley Park District dedicated Michael Kiley Park located in the Wing Pointe subdivision on October 13, 2002. Commissioners, staff the parks namesake Michael Kiley and Family where on hand for the dedication ceremony. The 9.6 acre park was developed under the direction of Paul Ostrander, Park Maintenance Director. Michael Kiley was the first President of the Huntley Park District.
