SATURDAY JULY 16th   -   4TH ANNUAL PARENT/CHILD OPEN

  • WHO CAN PLAY: This event is open to all. Teams can participate with any parent/child combination, regardless of age.

  • FLIGHTS: No handicaps are needed in this event. There will be 3 divisions based on a few factors; age of adult, age of child, playing ability of child. In 2015, we had 3 divisions: Blue tee/Red tee or Red tee/red tee combination, Blue tee/blue tee combination, and Blue tee/forward tee combination. Within each division, flights will be determined based on the team's gross score. Awards will be given to the top teams in each flight. The number of flights will be determined by the amount of teams participating. By scoring the event this way, every team has a chance to place in a flight, regardless of ability and score.

New in 2015, this will be a 2 person team format that will play best ball of Friday and scramble on Saturday. All players must be 50 years old by 8/5/16. Play will be a shotgun start at 2:00 on Friday afternoon and shotgun start at 8:30 on Saturday morning. This event will be flighted according to total team handicap indexes and age will have nothing to do with the flighting. championship flight will play from the blue tees and all other flights will play from the white tees. The entry fee is $120 per person and will include green fees and cart both days, range balls before play both days, skins game both days, a hot dog cookout after Saturday's round, a free practice round, and prizes for the winning teams in each flight.

3rd ANNUAL RED/WHITE/BLUE CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY

This event was introduced in 2014, and is a 4 person scramble. Everyone plays 6 holes from the red tees (1/4/7/10/13/16), 6 holes from the white tees (2/5/8/11/14/17)and 6 holes from the blue tees (3/6/9/12/15/18). The $75 entry fee ($55 for season pass holders) will include golf and cart, tailgate party with food and drink, range balls before the event, cash skins game, gift certificates for the winning teams, and tons of raffle prizes! The date will be determined once the NFL schedule comes out, as we will look for a late afternoon or evening that the Bears play, thus letting us play golf, tailgate after golf and then go in and watch the Bears play and distribute the prizes.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30 - THE DIE HARD CROSS COUNTRY SCRAMBLE

is our premier event. This is a 4 person scramble played on a course that goes cross country. In 2010, for the first time ever, the course was set up as 14 holes, with most holes different on the back than they were on the front. The 14-hole format helped with the time it takes to play the event (we are hoping for 5 hours instead of what had become a 6-hour round). We will have a shotgun start at 10:00. The fee for this event is $110 per person (same for pass holders) if paid before the day of the event, $130 if paid the day of the event. That cost includes a breakfast and lunch buffet, golf & cart (none of the $110 entry fee goes for golf or cart), awards for all team members in each flight (in other words, everybody wins something), and cash skins game. The catch to this event is that all gift certificates won (and there are many) must be used that day in the Pro Shop. It is our way of clearing out our inventory. If you have not played in this before, ask anyone who has, and we are sure they will highly recommend it.
