Jr. Red Raiders Feeder Basketball Teams - 2010 Season

8th Grade Update - 2/15/10

The 8th Grade boys won both of their games this past week and improved their record to 12-5.  They are currently on a 5 game winning streak.  Saturday they traveled to Dekalb where they won a hard fought game 61-54.  The game was close throughout with several lead changes.  Dekalb was leading with 2:30 to go in the game 54-53 before Huntley went on an 8-0 run to end the game.  Jason Shields led all scorers with 17, followed by Zach Gorney with 16 and Amanze Egekeze contributed 15 points and 17 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Sunday the Red Raiders were victorious over the visiting Round Lake boys 54-30.  Brad Spoeth led Huntley with 9 points and Huntley got everyone in the scoring column.
